Eric Way Lovemore, creative director of Groomed Academy in the Western Cape, has launched a new online educational venture for aspiring barbers.
The UK-based Head Quarters Barbering Academy (HQBA) offers the City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 and 3 in barbering courses, which are easily accessible on mobile and computer.
According to the HQBA website, “The Academy is committed to cultivating opportunities within the barber industry. Rich in industry knowledge and experience, our educator and mentor [Eric Way Lovemore] strives to revolutionise the industry with a training approach that is entirely hands-on, simple but structured. By embracing this approach, graduates leave highly skilled and knowledgeable about male styling and grooming.”
HQBA’s courses include: Cutting and Fading; Luxury Hot Towel Shaving; Facial Waxing; and Men’s Colour. Courses are suited to both beginner and experienced barbers.
Way Lovemore is quoted on hairnews.co.za as saying: “Head Quarters is a wonderful company to be associated with and I can bring all my knowledge and experience from Groomed Academy as a training facility to help them develop and train their barbers and male grooming specialists.”
