There were quite a few of the world’s biggest music stars on the actual red carpet at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, held in Los Angeles on 14 March, all with striking coiffures.
Megan Thee Stallion rocked a look that was described by Glamour Magazine as ‘prom hair’ – a messy-chic updo with collarbone-length wavy tendrils framing the face, coming from a middle parting.
Lizzo rocked super-sleek and super-long hair extensions, while Billie Eilish’s straight black hair was, as per usual, interrupted by thick, vivid green highlights. Well, that’s what was visible under the hat that was rammed onto her head, down to her eyebrows.
Dua Lipa channeled the iconic Cher, with very long, very straight and very centre-parted black extensions.
The top of Chloe Bailey’s hair was drawn into architectural braids, with intricately shaped and delicate tendrils framing her forehead. The braids were drawn back tightly into a ponytail that exploded into a mass of tight waves.
Phoebe Bridgers had her side-parted, platinum blonde hair tucked behind one ear and cascading down in loose waves.
H.E.R. sported Rapunzel-like wavy extensions that skimmed her hips, while the mostly blonde Maren Morris had her ‘lob’ emanating from dark roots.
Rocking a three-tone hairdo was violinist Mapy, whose plaited crown alternated between dark and light brown and was tightly pulled back into a very high, long blonde fountain of waves that flowed down the back.
Noah Cyrus sported arguably the most striking outfit of the evening – a white, hugely billowing confection that was likened by some on social media to popcorn. Cyrus’ jet black hair perfectly contrasted with the dress, worn in an extremely high top knot, with very long, face-framing tendrils.
Miranda Lambert rocked beachy blonde long hair with an extreme side-parting, while ‘Queen B’ (aka Beyoncé) went for dark blonde voluminous waves and a middle-parting.
Making quite an impact was Taylor Swift, whose hair style very much matched her flower-adorned, hippie-like dress. From the front it looked like Swift had her hair simply pinned back from short bangs, but when she turned around, it was evident that on each side behind the ears, her hair was in intricate twists tied up in low pigtails.
